Conroe ISD's

Every year TWHS has artwork selected to partake in Conroe ISD's District Art Show. This year the show included a total of over 380 pieces of 2D and Sculpture from students in grades K-12 throughout CISD, that were selected by judges in May 2023.

Conroe ISD's Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Student Art Competition & Exhibit

Every year the TWHS has artwork selected to partake in Conroe ISD's Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Student Art Competition & Exhibit. Students who have artwork selected for this art show have the potential to make it to further rounds of judging and win scholarship money.

Regional VASE
(Visual Arts Scholastic Event)

Regional VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) is an optional art competition that any visual art student may partake in. Students are asked to create a piece of art, write a reflection about creating it and then partake in a interview with a judge. Students will then be given a score based on their art, writing and interview.

Students who participate in the Regional VASE competition and receive the top score of a 4 have the chance to have their artwork picked by the judges to go to State VASE. This is a very select group of talented artists. These students then have the opportunity to attend and have their artwork displayed at the State VASE event in San Marcos.

TWHS & Feeder Schools Art Exhibition

TWHS & Feeder Schools Art Exhibition is a annual end of the year celebration of our TWHS visual art students and our feeder zone schools. The goal of this exhibition is to recognize and celebrate our visual arts students and their talents. The show will allow them to see their own art, others grade levels' art and also visit with their art teachers that have inspired them all the way back to elementary school. Additionally, the exhibition is a fun chance to show the public the great artwork that is coming out of our TWHS Feeder Zone.
